First and foremost a storyteller, I use narrative and image to tell stories, which are often subversive and darkly humorous. My work juxtaposes traditional elements of the Gothic with contemporary culture. I routinely explore the darker side of childhood, sexuality, gender, and the supernatural. I work in an interdisciplinary fashion, in a broad range of media including book arts, installation, sculpture, fiber arts, puppetry, animation, video and sound, and often use Scherenschnitte, or paper-cutting, and dimensional book structures, like tunnel and carousel books, to create narrative vignettes reminiscent of the Victorian children's books and the silhouette animations of Lotte Reiniger.

Please take a look around. In the next weeks and months I will be adding more content as I transition over from my old Wordpress site. For information on Summerland: A Ghost Story, I have created a separate site which you can reach by clicking here, or on the link in the navigation bar.
